Catalogs are a place where your configured shop with appropriate Assets will be located. Multiple catalogs can be created and each can be assigned to different projects and request types.

Creating a catalog

In the Catalogs tab click on “Create a catalog”, this will open up a dialogue to configure basic details about the catalog.

Name → Name of the catalog, this will be displayed in the portal when opening the shop

  • Populate Jira Assets diligently with the products you wish to showcase in the shop.

  • Ensure that every product entry is comprehensive, including detailed descriptions, images, pricing, and any other relevant information.

By investing time in entering precise and detailed product data into Jira Assets, you set the stage for a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience for your users.

Catalogs serve as the centralized hubs within Shoppie where configured shops, populated with relevant Jira Assets, reside. They are essential for the following reasons:

  • You have the flexibility to create multiple catalogs tailored to different needs or audiences.

  • Each catalog can be linked to distinct Jira projects, ensuring relevance and specificity. Beyond projects, you can further customize by assigning different request types to individual catalogs. This granularity ensures users find exactly what they're looking.

Create catalogs

Click on the “Create a catalog” button and define basic details:

  • Name It will appear in the JSM portal when the shop dialogue opens.

  • Description It helps administrators in distinguishing between catalogs, especially when there are similarities in their content or purpose. Think of it as an internal note or reminder.

  • Select a customer portal(JSM project) Project in which the shop will be applied to.

  • Select a request type → Request type that is associated with the shop. Click on the selected request type within the project will open a shop

  • Enable or disable JSM portal shop banner

  • Currency → Currency for the items in the shop. Select desired currency from the dropdownlist of currencies supported
