This significant enhancement will streamline user authentication and management processes, simplifying how user data and permissions are handled within the Cosmos environment. Stay tuned for more details as we approach the release date.

Enhanced YouTube Video Integration

With the latest update to Cosmos, users now have additional views for displaying YouTube videos, alongside the newly implemented capability to play these videos directly within Cosmos.

Users can choose from various view options for displaying YouTube videos, selecting the one that best suits their needs and preferences → Grid, Magazine, Highlight. Videos can now be played directly in Cosmos, offering a more seamless and integrated user experience as viewers no longer need to navigate away from the platform to watch videos.

Recently active users

Promote engagement and collaboration by displaying recently active users, along with a showcase of their contributions and activities within Confluence.

Dynamic or manual people overviews

Introducing a more engaging way to showcase individuals or groups on your Cosmos Dashboard with our latest feature. Users now have the flexibility to display people dynamically or manually, providing overviews using visually appealing cards or lists.

Engaging Confluence Pages overview for Dashboard

Given that Confluence pages are a fundamental feature within Confluence, improving their visibility is crucial for an optimized user experience. This update allows users to showcase Confluence pages, either manually or dynamically, making them more engaging and visible in a way that is not only more appealing but also easier to navigate. With this features, Cosmos users can enjoy a more streamlined and visually engaging way to access and interact with Confluence pages, directly from their intranet dashboard.

Navigation entry permissions for anonymous users

In our ongoing mission to enhance the Cosmos experience, we've rolled out a feture to add navigation entry permissions for anonymous users. This ensures a streamlined and intuitive browsing experience for every visitor, whether they're logged in or just passing through.

Sync guest users

Cosmos now seamlessly integrates the “Guest User” functionality in Confluence. With this update, guest users can experience and utilize Cosmos just as any regular employee would. During the user sync within Employee Database, administrators are given the flexibility to decide whether they wish to synchronize guest users or not.

Some features within Cosmos may not be available to guest users, depending on how permissions are configured. Guest users can only access the content within the one specified space and have no access to People Network and People Modules.

Anonymous users in Cosmos

Cosmos admins now can define which Dashboard modules and features are accessible to anonymous users. This provides a higher degree of customization and control, ensuring that the content made available aligns with organizational needs. With these improvements, Cosmos extends covered use cases. It can now be used as an extranet portal or a comprehensive documentation center, opening the content to wider audiences without the need for user authentication.

Use Confluence Groups when creating Collections

When creating Cosmos Collections you can start with selecting a Confluence Groups. Additional filters based on Employee Database helps you to define Confluence Groups more precisely. This feature was requested by many Cosmos customers.

Introducing Cards to Cosmos Dashboard and People Network

Enhance Cosmos dashboard experience with Cards inspired by our popular MacroSuite app. Cards can now be added to the main content areas, providing a flexible, visually appealing way to display information and shortcuts. Cards module also improves the user experience by providing a more organized and interactive way to navigate through the People Network.

Toggle Cosmos Features Off and On

Our latest release introduces an exciting feature that puts Cosmos administrators in control. Now, admins can turn on/off specific intranet features, tailoring the platform to their organization's needs. They can make buttons disappear from the sidebar with a click, like magic!

Cosmos Admins

Get ready to meet the "Cosmos Admin" role, revolutionizing the permissions landscape within our intranet app. Previously, Confluence site admins had exclusive control over Cosmos settings. However, we've now created a dedicated role within Cosmos itself, granting users the same privileges as Confluence admins, regardless of their Confluence site administrator status.

Gradient & Color Pickers

We are excited to announce that the solid and gradient color pickers feature, previously available in the People Network, Newsroom, and Spaceroom headers, has been extended to the Welcome Banner and Countdown panels on the Dashboard. Users can now customize the appearance of these panels by choosing from a wide range of solid colors or creating visually appealing gradients.

Unique URLs for Cosmos Features

Good news from Cosmos! We’ve enhanced the feature accessibility within the app! Users can now copy and share URLs for specific features like People Network, regardless of their current location in the app. Each feature within Cosmos, including Dashboard, People Network, Newsroom, and Space Station, is assigned a unique URL identifier. Farewell to confusing codes and numbers! The updated URLs make it easier to identify and navigate to desired features.

Collections

The latest update introduces the Collections feature, allowing admins to create custom user groups based on specific criteria. Collections are designed to improve user navigation and filtering options within People Network and personalization. Discovering and engaging with relevant user groups in People Network has never been easier!

People Network Redesign

We've got some exciting updates for our People Network feature. We've added panels to People Network to make it more engaging; the "Get to know your team" panel lets you discover and connect with random team members. The "Recently active" panel lets you see who made recent changes and access links to those changes. The "Content creators" panel: Explore user-generated blogs and content. We've also revamped the "Meet the Team" panel, where you can view all users for better communication and collaboration.

Email Sync

We've expanded our employee database to include the user's email address during the initial database sync. We don't store any personal information, including user emails. Feel free to use it User Profile or in the People Network.

Hide/Show users in the database

Admins now have the power to hide users from the Employee Database. This will also hide users from People Network. Have some external users who don't bring value to your intranet? Hide them from sight. With the "Hide" button, selected users can be hidden from the regular database view. The 'View' button reveals the hidden users, allowing admins to bring them back to light with the 'Show' button.

Dashboard Builder

Counting downtime until that important release? Oh, but you're also super excited about that big event? Don't worry. We got you! You can now add as many dashboard panels as you'd like. Add new, delete, reorder, and completely customize the Cosmos Dashboard to fit all your needs.

MacroSuite Styleguide & Cosmos

We're happy to announce that you can now connect your MacroSuite and Cosmos apps, allowing you to use new or existing app icons in the App Links on the Cosmos dashboard. More customization is coming your way! Stay tuned.

Brand and Colors

Get ready for a pop of color! That's right, your colors, your brand, your intranet. Upload your logo and headers, and change titles, descriptions, and colors. Incorporating these elements will create a sense of consistency throughout your intranet.
