Using Custom Fields on a JSM portal

Since Forge does not allow custom fields to be used by default we had to create a custom solution.

It is now possible to add Linksy custom fields to a JSM request form. You can use the fields and link issues directly from the portal.

Make sure the fields are assigned to the appropriate screens otherwise they will not be displayed in the request form.

Due to another Forge limitation anonymous users will not be able to see the field(s) in the portal. This should be resolved soon.

The fields will be available just like any other field in the right sidebar:

Since this is a custom made solution the custom fields will be marked as hidden in the request type configuration therefore they cannot be reordered but they will still apear in the request form. Additionally the fields cannot be made required as well.

The fields are rendered the same way as they are on issue view. Once the ticket is created the linked issues are clickable and will lead to the destination issue as long as the user has permission to view them.
