Welcome to the heart of your Confluence intranet
The Cosmos Database can only be accessed and edited by the admin of the Confluence instance.
Click the configuration icon on the left sidebar to access the Cosmos Database.
Click on the Sync button above the table to load your user data. We fetch the Confluence user’s name, profile image, and email.
Your user data is safe with us - we don't store it. On our end, the users are represented by their user ID, a string of random and unidentifiable digits and letters. Emails are fetched, but not stored.
Your database should now contain a list of all users who have access to your Confluence site.
Aside from the Name and Email columns, all other columns can be edited.
You can also add new columns/profile fields by clicking on the + icon appearing after the last column of the table.
You can choose between seven different field types:
Text (allows users to enter any combination of letters, numbers, or symbols in a single line)
URL (allows users to add a link to an internal or external page)
Number (allows users to enter any number)
Select (allows users to select one value from a list that you define)
Multiselect (allows users to select more than one value from a list that you define)
User (allows users to add another user profile using autocomplete)
Date (allows users to pick a date from a popup calendar)
All columns you create will be available in the user profile section of Cosmos.
The Show/Hide users feature allows administrators to selectively hide certain users from the database while maintaining access to and browsing functionality within the People Network. These users will also be hidden from People Network, but they’ll still be able to access their user profiles.
Hiding Users
Access the Cosmos Dashboard through the Apps section in the Confluence navigation menu.
Navigate to the Settings button in the Cosmos sidebar and select.
You are now located in the Database.
In the checkbox column, select the desired users by checking the corresponding checkboxes.
As you select users, the selection counter will display the number of selected users.
Once at least one user is selected, the "Hide selected" button will appear above the user table.
Click the "Hide" button to hide the selected users from regular database views.
Viewing Hidden Users
After hiding users, the "View" button will appear above the user table.
The "View" button will display the number of hidden users.
Click on the "View" button to see a list of all hidden users.
Showing Hidden Users
Select the desired users in the list of hidden users by checking the corresponding checkboxes.
Once at least one hidden user is selected, a "Show" button will become visible.
Click on the "Show" button to make the selected hidden users visible again in regular database views.
