Prerequisites

  • Jira Service Management Premium

  • Jira Assets

Installation

  1. Navigate to the Apps → find new Apps section within Jira.

  2. Search for "Shoppie - Assest integrated shop for Jira" and proceed with the installation.

  3. After the installation is completed, you will be promoted to “Get Started”. This will lead you to the app configuration

API token authentification

To facilitate REST API communication between Jira Service Management and Assets, an API token is required. Once generated, input the API token into the Shoppie configuration section to establish the connection.

Regularly monitor and rotate the API token for security best practices. If experiencing communication errors, verify the API token's validity and permissions.

  1. Navigate to the Apps → MANAGE Apps screen

  2. Click on the shoppie in the left sidebar

  3. Add a user email and an API token

The user whose email and API token are registered will be responsible for initiating these API requests within Shoppie. It must be a user that possesses the necessary permissions to execute these operations. Ideally, an organization administrator or a site administrator should be chosen for this role.
