Time in Status

Time in Status custom field tracks the time of an issue in a certain status. By default, Time in Status will track the current issue status. This can be changed to track a specific status, regardless of which status the issue is in. It’s a perfect way to plan, track and report projects in detail.

Create and configure the custom field

To create and configure the Time in Status custom field, you must be logged in as a user with Jira Administrator permissions.

 

  1. Go to AppsManage your appsCustom Field Suite

  2. Click on Create custom field button on the right side of the screen.

  3. Select Time in Status and click Next.

  4. Name and add a description to your field then click Next.

  5. Time in Status will use live issue status by default. You can toggle this off to then choose a specific status.

  6. Associate the field to the appropriate screens and click Create. You must associate a field to a screen before it will be displayed.

That’s it! You can now navigate to your issue and enhance it with Time in Status.
